Profession of Faith Classes
Faith is a gift from God through the work of the Holy Spirit. If the Holy Spirit has given you faith in Christ, you are encouraged to make that profession of faith public and join more fully in the life of the Church, the body of Christ. Those who wish to make public profession of their faith prepare themselves for this event in a special class by talking about and reflecting on the meaning of making a commitment to Jesus Christ and assuming responsibilities in the church family.
These classes are open for those who are hoping to learn more about the teachings of Scripture and the Reformed faith. We will be having Profession of Faith Class at various times in the year. If you would like more information about how to make public profession of faith, please contact us!
Faith instruction classes are held for grades 9-12 and teach the beliefs of the Christian Reformed Church, based on the Holy Bible. Not only is the catechism studied, but how youth should respond to different situations in life. Classes are held after the morning worship service, September through June.
Topics include various Bible passages as well as Christian Reformed doctrines. We use materials based on Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, Bible books, World Religions, The Church, etc. Studying these historic creeds and confessions will help students to better understand and apply basic Bible teachings that we believe as members of the Christian Reformed Church and the broader Reformed community. Gifted and committed volunteers from the congregation help teach classes.
